Honorary
An "Honorary Member" shall be a person who has rendered conspicuos service or its eminent in some branch of Welding or an allied science, art, process or occupation and who in recognition thereof is elected as Honorary Member by the council and who consents to such election.

Corporate
A "Corporate Member" shall be a Company, Firm, Partnership or other body interested or engaged in the science and art of welding. A Corporate Member may appoint as its representative or proxy some person acceptable to the society to act for such Corporate Member as a member of the Society and to have all rights as such.

Full
A "Full Member" shall be a person who:

1. Is at least twenty-five years of age
2. Possess a diploma from an approved equivalent qualification or has had experience of such nature as to satisfy circumstances from having such a diploma or equivalent
3. Has been engaged in the practice of or associated with some branch of welding for at least three years, and
4. Has attained such a degree of standing in some branch of welding as in the opinion of the Council should entitle him to election as a Full Member.

Associate
An "Associate Member" shall be a person who in the opinion of the council is interested in some branch of welding or engaged in some branch of welding as an instructor, foreman or welding operator. Also a person who has satisfied the council he is attending a course of instruction approved by it as a student as a recognised technical school or other college, school or university or as an apprentice to a metal trade. An Associate Member shall not be entitled to vote at an Ordinary or Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the society but he may attend any meeting of the society.
