IIW 2009 - 12 to 18 July in SINGAPORE

Singapore Welding Society (SWS) is proud to host The IIW 2009 – The 62^nd Annual Assembly and International Conference of the International Institute of Welding, which will be held in Singapore in July 2009. We will be targeting a total of 800 participants from 52 countries worldwide. This will be a good opportunity for your company to market and showcase your company products to our participants.

CERTIFIED COATING INSPECTOR TRAINING & CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME- LEVEL 1/2 - 18 AUG TO 27 AUG 08

Setsco Services Pte Ltd in collaboration with M/s WAUGH Technical Services, UK, is pleased to offer for the First time the Level 1/ 2 Integrated Coating Inspector Training Course from the 18 Aug to 27Aug 2008. The Certification examination which follows the Training Course will be conducted by the Singapore Welding Society under the International Coating Approval Scheme (SWS ICAS) from the 23 to 27 August 2008.

Article on Transition Arrangements and Access Routes

S-ANB Transition Agreements & Access Routes to IIW Diplomas.SWS is pleased to announce that, at the recent meeting of the International Authorisation Board (IAB) Group B of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) on 14 and 15 January 2008 in Paris, SWS was granted 1-year preliminary authorisation status as an IIW-approved Authorised National Body (ANB), thereinafter known as S-ANB. Full authorisation status would only be granted after a full initial successful audit by IIW some time at the middle of this year.
